Situation:
An OEM vendor of an on-demand correspondence application required a generic web based user interface to gain a competitive advantage.
Strategic Issues:
The deliverable of this development was for a specific project but the development focused on building a generic and reusable user interface framework.

The presentation layer required a high degree of customization without coding, based on administrator interface, resources files, configuration files, JSP tag libraries and CSS.

Development of a new release of OEM core product was completed in parallel with Zen Sys development requiring tight integration with customer development team in two continents.
Solution:
Develop the presentation and integration layer of a web-based correspondence application composed of about 20 screens. The application was developed in Java based on a standard MVC framework using STRUTS and springframework, integrating generic functionality for user authentication and user role management, error handling, logging, layout management and application workflow navigation.
