Situation:
Customer wished to integrate IBM’s InfoPrint Manager with JETS from BÖWE Bell+Howell.
Strategic Issues:
Successful integration with IPW was a key customer requirement and prerequisite to the inserter vendor for a successful JETS sale
The inserter vendor had to provide extensive integration services make the sale possible and did not have the internal staff available to provide a solution to meet the customer’s needs.
Solution:
Vendor contracted with Zen Sys to use Transformer to prepare print files for InfoPrint, derive inserter control information and enable a single GUI interface allowing real-time production control and status monitoring at two geographical production centers.
